Multidisciplinary (MD) Courses

Multidisciplinary or "MD" courses are those that apply multiple disciplinary models and methods. Usually, they are in some way concerned with how scholars in different fields approach a given cultural subject. They may also spend time thinking about how different disciplinary models relate, contrast, combine, and occasionally, they may be team-taught by faculty from different fields.

At least two of the courses majors and minors take must be designated MD (and taking more would be fine - they're some of our most popular!). As students are choosing MD courses, they are encouraged to consider those that are in some way relevant to their Concentration.
